Help individual (or small groups of) UCLA international students improve their English conversation skills and acculturate to life in the U.S. Volunteers meet with students (who come from all over the world, but predominantly from Asian countries such as China, Japan, and Korea, and the Middle East, such as Saudi Arabia) for 1-2 hours per week of unstructured English conversation to improve their speaking skills while helping them to learn about life in L.A. and the U.S. Most exchanges occur at or near the UCLA campus; times and location of the exchanges are negotiable and based on the mutual convenience of the participants. Virtual Opportunity! Be an "E-Pal" to an international student! If you live outside the Los Angeles area, we can match you with an international student with whom you can correspond.
