The Buena Park Library needs a variety of skilled volunteers who can make a meaningful contribution to the library. Each volunteer applicant must submit an application at the Reference Desk inside our library. Volunteers are selected on their qualifications and the needs of the library at any given time. Volunteers need to be 14 years and if under the age of 18, they are required to submit a signed parental/guardian consent form along with the volunteer application. Application forms are available in the Library.
Volunteers who want to share their skills, expertise, interests, hobbies, give of their time, and support to the community. Individuals can volunteer either on a weekly commitment or a one-time special event, and work on different duties which may arise at any given moment.

Description
Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
