Adult Literacy

Literacy volunteers help adults in our community learn to read, write and speak English better. Volunteers will help learners develop confidence and improve English literacy skills to reach personal goals.

Useful qualities a volunteer will have - patience, sense of humor, compassion, flexibility, creativity, ability to read, write and speak English well, available to volunteer 1-2 hours per week for a year.

The Oak View Branch Family Literacy program is offering an orientation on Tuesday, May 22 from 10:00am to 12:30pm. There will be 3 training sessions the Tuesdays that follow the orientation.
