About
Turn your Veteran's Day into more than a long weekend. Honor your country by honoring our veterans. A small commitment of 2-4 hours per month is all it takes to repay the nation's debt to these fine individuals. Our war veterans are our heroes. Can you be their hero?
Connecticut's blind and disabled veterans need drivers for trips to support group meetings, local medical appointments, and the West Haven V.A. or just to get out of the house. Two war vets living in the Waterbury area need your help for these short trips. One is awaiting life saving kidney transplant surgery and also needs an occasional ride from Waterbury to the Hartford Hospital Transplant Center and other related medical appointments. Times and days vary, volunteer only for those that suit you, others will fill in the gap. If driving is not your forte, try friendly visiting or help them with their mail and reading.
