Visit with an older adult in Oakland!
(During COVID-19 affected times, we will begin our visits over the phone, then transition to in-person visits when the pandemic has passed).
Social Call volunteers:
- Receive training and ongoing support
- Are matched with an adult 60 years or older for great conversation, swapping stories, learning and more.
Time Commitment: 6-month minimum, visiting the same participant each week
Qualifications: a free background check ; availability for our next new volunteer training (flexible times, about 2 hours long)
Bilingual volunteers strongly encouraged to apply! All adults aged 18 yrs and older welcome to apply.

We empower individuals to live connected and fulfilled lives through our Community Services Division. Front Porch’s Community Services Division designs and administers 6 programs addressing 3 social problems affecting older adults: food insecurity, unstable housing, and isolation & loneliness.
