Cooks for Kids is our Volunteer Meal Program. We all know how comforting a home cooked meal can be.

。 Volunteers purchase the food, prepare it, set up a buffet service in our community kitchen and clean up after the meal

。 Serve 80+ people

。 Meals can be made in the kitchen or offsite

。 Dinner: 5:30-7:00pm Monday-Sunday

。 Brunch: 11:30-1pm Saturday-Sunday

Cook for Kids volunteers must be fourteen years or over, and if under 18 must come as part of a mixed group of youth and adults. You may sign on for one meal or one meal per month. We are grateful for the support your time and dollars will allow.

We, in partnership with our community, provide a comfortable and caring home-away-from-home that supports keeping families together and reduces stress during a child’s serious illness.

Description

We provide a warm and welcoming community of support and respite for families with seriously-ill or injured children. Across our five locations, we welcome 76 families each night for overnight services, as well as hundreds of day-visitors. Services include:

  • Lodging
  • Meals
  • Kitchen access and fully-stocked pantries
  • Laundry facilities
  • An accredited K-12 school
  • Workout facilities
  • Supportive, family-focused programming

We take care of all these things so families can focus on the well-being of their child.
