Road to Recovery is a service offered by the American Cancer Society in which volunteer drivers provide cancer patients transportation to and from their cancer treatments and treatment related appointments. Drivers donate their time and the use of their perosnal vehicles to help ensure that cancer patients get the lifesaving treatments they need.
The American Cancer Society coordinates the program by training the drivers and scheduling transportation pickups. The Society maintains specific standards for the responsibilities of these drivers.
As a volunteer, you set your own schedule. You can offer your time as much or as little as your schedule allows.

Description
The American Cancer Society is seeking volunteers to help with general office/event support including: answering phones, helping with bulk mailings, putting together event packets, organizing event materials, and other duties as assigned.
The American Cancer Society is also seeking volunteers to help with various programs including: Road to Recovery, Support For Recovery, and volunteers to staff Cancer Resource Centers.
Additionally, volunteers are needed for Relay For Life fundraising activities. Volunteer needs include: Team Captains, Relay For Life planning committee members, and day of event volunteers.
