Visitor Services volunteers greet visitors, collect admission fees, provide visitor orientation to exhibits, direct research requests to appropriate staff. The Museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 12-4 and Saturday from 10-4.

"The mission of the Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum is to collect, preserve, and interpret the history of the City of Vallejo, Mare Island, and the surrounding region and to present exhibits and programs that explore and celebrate the diverse cultural traditions of the community."
Description
The Museum collects and exhibits the history of the City of Vallejo and the U.S. Navy at Mare Island. In addition to exhibits, the Museum features a research library, youth education program, speakers, films, concerts and other special events.
