Our tutors work one-on-one with the patrons of our public access computer center to assist them in learning about and using the computer. Sessions are 1/2 to 1 hour, scheduled in advance. Topics typically covered include Windows, Web-based email, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Most patrons are just becoming familiarized with computers, but sometimes there are requests for more advanced topics. We ask for a 2 hour commitment from tutors, i.e. from 12pm to 2pm or 1pm to 3 pm.
Volunteer Tasks:
- Meet with individuals for scheduled tutoring appointments,
- Provide instruction to individuals on a one-on-one basis on a variety of computer topics,
- Answer questions and demonstrate computer operations in a clear and friendly manner

Description
The CRPIC provides the public with access to 20 computers and the Internet in our facility. Free tutoring is available every day, and PC classes are offered at a nominal fee. Our community programs are made possible by the funds generated from organizations that rent our state-of-the-art computer training labs and the services donated by our volunteers.
