Reading STARS Tutor

The Reading STARS (Students & Tutors Achieving Reading Success) tutoring program pairs older adult volunteers with students in Grades K-3 who need help to become better readers. Tutors must be age 50 or older, have a high school diploma or above, and commit to tutoring students throughout the school year (September - May). Tutoring will take place at Lake Los Angeles Library, 2 days each week for up to 3 hours each day (approx. 6 hours total each week). There will be an initial training day and follow-up training throughout the school year.
