At Collectors’ Corner and the Neighborhood Trading Places,(CCNTP) visitors ask their own questions about the world around them, collect objects and information about those objects, and learn new information about objects and ideas that matter to them.
Learning together is not only fun, but helps traders learn new ways of looking at or thinking about their objects. This is why conversations with traders (and potential traders) is so important. CCNTP is located at the Highland Park Library in Saint Paul and we are in need of volunteer facilitators who can be the face of SMM and CC/NTP in the community. Collectors’ Corner Neighborhood Trading Places are connected with Collectors’ Corner at the Science Museum of Minnesota.
We are looking for volunteers who:
- Enjoy nature and talking about the natural world
- Enjoy interacting with people of all ages, especially children and families and learning together
- Are lifelong learners themselves
- Are comfortable with computer and data entry
Current opportunities would be for Wednesdays, 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm. Additional opportunities anticipated for Saturdays. Volunteers work alternate weeks.
