This volunteer may not have a lot of time but want to contribute some time to the community. They can provide wellness checks to patients and their families in the area in which they themselves reside. A wellness check is just a call phone to let them know when you are coming and then at the visit, check on how the patient and the family are doing. Do they have any needs? This is just a brief visit to say we care and is there anything that we can do to help!

Description
Preferred Hospice offers "comfort care" to terminally ill patients, empowering them to make choices regarding their final months. Our team approach, under the direction of a physician, delivers care and support inside the patient's residence. Our team focuses on providing pain/symptom management, as well as support for the emotional, social and spiritual needs of the patient and their loved ones.
