Suicide Prevention Service (SPS) is looking for new suicide crisis line volunteers! Our hotline serves the tri-county area of Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz. Join us for a rewarding experience while learning active listening skills, self-care, and suicide and crisis intervention techniques.

Training begins Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020!

To provide suicide and crisis intervention, community education and outreach, grief support and referrals to persons at risk of suicide and suicidal behavior in Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito Counties.

Description

Suicide Prevention Service has been providing services for the residents of Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito Counties for over 45 years. We are dedicated to supporting the health and well being of our community, while also providing life-sustaining services for the most vulnerable and at-risk residents. Services include a nationally-accredited 24-hr multilingual suicide crisis line, community education for potentially at-risk individuals, families, teachers, first responders, and anyone else interested. Bereavement support services are also available for those who have lost a loved one to suicide.
