The NE Minneapolis Food Shelf provides well-balanced food to low income families and individuals in need of nutritional food support. Volunteers assist by stocking and maintaining a neat and orderly food pantry as well as packing food boxes/bags. Volunteers may also have the opportunity to guide clients through the food shelf to self-select items.
Available shifts: Monday from 8 am-12 pm & Wednesday from 1-4 pm
Commitment: At least weekly starting November 18- December 24

Description
The Salvation Army offers social services and recreational programs with the goal of addressing specific physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of each family, individual, child/youth, or elderly person. Services provided include, but not limited to: emergency food shelves, school supply programs, rental/utility assistance, educational programs, outreach to the homeless, family and youth camping, community center programs, Christmas assistance programs, nursing home visitations, corrections programs, and disaster services.
