The Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind and America's VetDogs - the Veteran's K-9 Corps is looking for experienced photographers and videographers with their own equipment and editing software to help capture professional quality images of our dogs for our sponsors and the general public.
We are looking for a few professional or amateur photographers that have experience taking high quality stills of dogs. Once contacted, we will need you to complete a volunteer application and include a sample of your work by photographing a black dog in a portrait and an action shot.
Volunteers need to be available weekdays and able to give approximately 3 hours at a time during the hours of 8 am to 5 pm. Still photographers should have the ability to edit their own film and produce digital files to be printed by the Guide Dog Foundation. All volunteer services are tax deductible as allowed by law.
The services of the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind and America's VetDogs - the Veteran's K-9 Corps provide independence, mobility and companionship for people who are blind, visually impaired, or have other disabilities through the use of guide and service dogs and innovative orientation technology. We breed, raise, and train our own puppies to become guide or service dogs, train and instruct persons on their use, and provide a life-time of aftercare services to the new owner/dog team. All of our services are provided free of charge. What makes our program so vital for all persons with disabilities - including wounded veterans and persons afflicted with vision-stealing diseases such as glaucoma and diabetes - is that in less than thirty days of instruction, we can change someone's life forever. Guide and service dogs help people with disabilities move about safely and confidently, enabling them to reclaim their independence.
We'll work with your schedule.
