Looking to make your corner of the world a little brighter? Do you love children? We’ve got just the thing! Become a certified FISH volunteer and you can experience the joy and satisfaction that comes from helping a child succeed. "Friends in Schools Helping", (FISH), is a JABA program that matches community residents with children that need help in our local public schools in Albemarle, Charlottesville, Fluvanna, Louisa, Nelson and Greene. There are opportunities to serve in a classroom, small groups, or 1-1 with a student who needs some extra support. Learn more by contacting JABA's Volunteer Services Coordinator, Carleigh Showalter at or 434-817-5226.
