The Toy & Resource Center is in need of assistants to help wash and sanitize toys, as well as be able to assist customers and work the front desk when needed. This is an on-call opportunity, perfect for anyone wanting to give back in their community.
After appropriate training and support, volunteers will gain knowledge on the importance of toy cleanliness, types of specialized adaptive switches available, and the overall importance of toys for the developmental stages of childhood.
The Toy & Resource Center is open every Monday and Friday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and Wednesdays from 2-5 p.m. The Center loans developmental toys and resource materials to anyone working with a child birth to six years of age with special needs or a child developing typically. A Special Needs Division offering specialized adaptive switches, toys and computer software is also available.
