During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of both COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Foster a litter of homeless kittens or an adult cat in your home. Short term commitment (typically four to eight weeks), until we find permanent good homes. Very rewarding---play, feed, cuddle --- to prepare kittens for adoption. Palo Alto Humane Society coordinates this opportunity with associate volunteers and other non-profit rescue groups. They provide ongoing training, support, supplies, and adoptions.

The mission of Palo Alto Humane Society (PAHS) is to alleviate the suffering of animals, increase public sensitivity to animal issues, and elevate the status of animals in our society through innovative programs in intervention, education and advocacy. With the goal of creating a more humane planet, PAHS empowers people to make humane choices and take action on behalf of the animals.
Palo Alto Humane Society(PAHS) is one of the few humane societies nationwide with no animal shelter. Instead of managing animals inside a shelter, we work to keep animals out of the shelter.
We educate, advocate, and intervene whenever humane expertise is needed throughout the mid-Peninsula community.
Our Gift Shop is a great place to browse and shop - all proceeds directly support our programs assisting cats, dogs, rabbits, horses, birds, etc.
We'll work with your schedule.
