The Elizabeth Hospice Ambassador Program provides opportunities for community members to help increase awareness about hospice care in their San Diego community during their everyday conversations with friends, family, and acquaintances. People touched by hospice are a wonderful resource for those who want to learn more about hospice as an end-of-life care option. The Elizabeth Hospice is mobilizing an informal person-to-person network with the goal of increasing awareness and understanding of hospice. The mission of The Elizabeth Hospice Ambassadors is to spread the word about this difficult, but important topic. It is not fundraising nor is formal training required. Spreading the word about hospice care can be done individually or through groups and organizations such as your church or service club. Telling a friend about hospice is a wonderful way to let them know you care. The Elizabeth Hospice invites you to join others in creating awareness about hospice care in your neighborhood. To learn more about this volunteer opportunity, please call (760) 737-2077 or email ambassadors@elizabethhospice.org or visit www.elizabethhospice.org.
