Our Therapy Horses Grazing in the Pasture

Volunteering is fun!!! Especially when horses and people with challenges are involved. No horse experience needed, just the desire to help change the lives of those living with emotional, behavioral, and physical challenges.

We walk a lot in the arena and outside on the Sensory Trails. Activities take place in the Salem area (just south of Enchanted Forest).

Everyone over the age of 14 can volunteer. Children ages 12-14 can volunteer with a parent or guardian over age 18. This is a also great volunteer opportunity for seniors, groups or teams of employees. We value and appreciate everyone's input, assistance and support of our organization.

Mission Statement

Horses of Hope Oregon has a Mission to improve the lives of people living with physical, emotional, and behavioral challenges through innovative, accessible, safe and rewarding equine assisted programs of the highest quality. Additionally - our focus is to support our clients, their families, and caregivers in a relaxed, supportive, nurturing environment as we work together to promote wellness, enhance capabilities, and foster independence. Our goal is to establish an overall improved quality of life for our clients.

Horses of Hope Oregon (HOH) provides equine assisted therapeutic riding for people with challenges. We serve clients in the Greater Willamette Valley and 9 surrounding counties in the State. HOH, founded in 1988, is the longest, continuously operating equine therapy center in Oregon.
