The Volunteer Teacher/Instructor assists with the daily routine of the Discovery Technology Lab and helps to supervise, provide support and instruction to adults with developmental disabilities participating in classes. One must be a mature responsible person with the patience and a positive attitude required to work with a variety of individuals and assisting with various technology.
Supports include but are not limited to:
- providing supervision to enrolled students,
- assisting Computer Instructional Specialist with course work preparation,
- monitoring and ensuring participants' safety,
- maintaining client's records,
- creating courses of study and planning client's classes,
- teaching tehnological skills and training consumers on various software applications and
- documentation of student's progress
