The Chad Foundation for Athletes and Artists is seeking a Volunteer website designer to update and streamline our info of recent and upcoming Chad Foundation heart screening events so that we may better raise awareness of Sudden Cardiac Death in Young People to our site visitors. Recent events include a heart screening with strategic partner, Johns Hopkins Heart Hype Program and a Heart Screening for young basketball players at Rice High School in Harlem. The Chad Foundation is also seeking volunteer website designer to create the Chad Players Art link which will showcase our secondary mission: to create art - film, theatre and books that celebrate American stories of all heritages and provide inspiring role models. The McGraw Hill school book video, features the Chad intro to the classic poem, "To An Athlete Dying Young," by A. E. Houseman; the video is shown in 5,000 schools. Arista's off-Broadway play, "All About Sneakers," a play about learning to love oneself, has been performed for 400 Homeless Men and Women in NYC. The Chad Players production of "Days of Wine and Roses" was brought to Atlantic City, NJ sponsored by the "Atlantic Commission on Missing and Abused Children/Department of Family and Youth Services" as the community event of the year to show the deleterious effects substance abuse can have on the family. A screenplay/ teleplay has just been completed by the foundation, entitled, "U.S.A. (ew ess ah) My Year with the Homeless," based on the NY's homeless soccer team's participation in the "1 st and 2 nd Homeless Streetsoccer World Cups," in Graz, Austria and Gotenborg, Sweden and the Chad Foundation's heart screenings for, respectively, 16 and 26 countries of disenfranchised athletes.
