Eaton Canyon Nature Center Associates (ECNCA)
The Garden Group maintains the Native Plant Garden around the Nature Center. Responsibilities include outdoor work pulling weeds, pruning plants, raking leaves, planting plants, repairing irrigation, and seed collection. Tools will be provided. Previous experience is helpful, but not required.
The Garden Group works on the 2nd Sunday of each month from 10:00 a.m. - noon, and/or Wednesdays 9:30 a.m. - noon. Occasional group volunteer opportunities by prior arrangement. Volunteers should enjoy being outdoors and like digging in dirt.

Our mission is to develop in children and adults an appreciation of the natural world, and to preserve Eaton Canyon as a natural area for future generations.
Eaton Canyon Nature Center is one of the Natural Areas of Los Angeles County. The volunteer support organization, ECNCA,: 1. Trains volunter Docent Naturalists to lead school groups and family nature walks. 2. Assists staff with visitor services and animal care. 3. Operates the Gift Shop and Information Desk. 4. Conducts a lively program of other activities for adults and children. Among others in the past year we've offered monthly moonlight walks, summer twilight nature programs and a variety of walks and talks focusing on plants, birds, Native American history, geology or other aspects of natural history of the area.
