The City of Kirkland Parks Department is looking for a volunteer (unpaid) intern.

April to July. Once per week (3-5 hours), assist the Parks Market Coordinator with the promotion and planning of this annual summer market series, and assist with regular office tasks such as maintaining vendor database, posting online ads and the like. Schedule is flexible, choice of Mondays through Thursdays.

Position takes place at Kirkland City Hall offices, and beginning in June, also onsite at Juanita Beach Park in Kirkland, WA. Gain valuable experience in an exciting field of work. Farmers markets build community, support local farmers, and encourage consumption of organic and local produce. Grow your organizational skills and learn the logistics of special event planning. Orientation and training will occur during the first month of the volunteer work. This position reports to the Market Coordinator.
