Meals on Wheels for Greater Houston makes independent living possible for thousands of Houston's low-income and homebound seniors. And for many seniors, their pet companions make life worthwhile. The goal of aniMeals on Wheels is simple - to provide donated pet food for the cats and dogs of IM's Meals on Wheels seniors to help them keep their pets healthy and happy. HOW CAN YOU HELP??? Become a volunteer and deliver pet food on the 4th Saturday of every month. You can be assigned a regular monthly route or serve as a back-up driver when your schedule allows. A very flexible pick-up and delivery schedule makes this a great volunteer opportunity for individuals, groups or families with children. YOU can make a difference!

For more than 30 years IM has provided basic services to Houston's diverse ethnic and religious communities. Over time we have discovered that by working together, we can develop new relationships and friendships with people who are very different from us, yet share common goals and hopes. We like to say that "The Strength of Shared Beliefs" is the thread that binds and motivates us. IM has 116 employees, over 2500 ongoing and episodic volunteers, and serves over 10,000 people. Funding for IM comes from the public and private sectors.
