Queen of Hearts Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit horseback riding center for persons with special needs. Our vision is to be able to never have to turn a student away because of their financial circumstances. Therefore, we need experienced grant writers to help find financial sponsors for those that otherwise are not be able to afford lessons. This is a constant need for our organization and all support is appreciated.
Duties include:
Internet research to identify appropriate grants
Research prospective donors to ensure grant is written to accommodate their specific nuances.
Type the grant request with professional terms and descriptions. Perfect grammar and punctuation is a must!
The writers must be self-starters and be able to work independently with minimal guidance.
Being able to follow minute instructions and attention to detail is a must.
Creative writing is a plus.

We are dedicated to improve the bodies, minds, spirits and quality of life of persons with physical and/or developmental disabilities and/or mental illnesses through equine-assisted activities.
Description
We provide equine-assisted services including teaching horseback riding to adults and children with special needs. We are a PATH Int'l Premier Accredited Center and we use the EAGALA method of equine-assisted psychotherapy and learning. We have adaptive horseback riding equipment to assist those who have difficulty walking and we have a wheelchair-to-horse lift to help transfer riders to horses.
