Help write advice-oriented health and medical pieces on topics related to Addiction, Cancer, HIV/AIDS, Medical Marijuana and Sleep Medicine. Writers should be able to review in-depth articles and guide readers on understanding diagnosis, treatment options and more.
We are looking for one to two 800- to 1,100-word pieces a week.
Requirements:
- Ability to self-edit and self-check facts, and turn in clean copy that adheres to AP Style and is devoid of errors and grammatical issues
- Samples/Portfolio of prior writing (health writing a plus)
- Expertise and knowledge of medical conditions
- Experience writing for a consumer publication a plus
- Ability to turn in work by deadlines set by editor
