Can you spare a few hours a month to help save a life? Drive once a month or once a week when needed.
Lack of transportation has become a major problem for thousands of cancer patients. Many patients need daily or weekly treatments, often over a period of months, and they simply have no transportation or are too ill to drive. Family and friends may help, but sometimes it's just not enough.
Road to Recovery is an American Cancer Society service program that provides cancer patients with transportation to and from scheduled treatment appointments. Volunteer drivers donate their time to take patients to treatments and return them to their homes.
