Position Title:
The Get to Know Us Before You Need Us (GTKU) Briefing Facilitator will actively reach out to our community-based military (Guard, Reserve, ROTC, etc) in order to make them aware of the programs and services the American Red Cross offers before they actually need them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Willingness to support Red Cross Mission
- Commitment to volunteer service
- Familiarize various National Guard/Reserve military service members with Red Cross services
- Facilitate awareness of Red Cross services by building relationships with local recruiters, ROTC programs, VA, etc.
- Present information about Red Cross services
- Follow up with military families who have used our services to assess current needs & update them on current chapter activities
- Solicit support from local businesses, churches, & other organizations for the program.
Training:
- New employee and volunteer orientation (NEVO)
- Review GTKU PowerPoint presentation
- Read GTKU Guidebook
