Volunteers are needed to help our Northern California teams to participate at the FIRST LEGO League Explore Festival Expo. The event requires volunteers with a broad spectrum of talents to support teams, volunteers, and audience members. We cannot hold the competitions without volunteers.

A variety of volunteer positions are available - Many positions are available for those with no prior experience with a STEM competition.


FIRST LEGO League Explore develops critical skills in science and technology in a fun, experiential learning atmosphere using LEGO robots. The event involves teams of students, ages 6 to 10.

All volunteers much sign up using the official volunteer registration system. All volunteers 18 years or older must also pass a background screening. To apply as a volunteer:

1. please create an account at https://my.firstinspires.org/AccountManager/Account/Register

2. then search or visit https://my.firstinspires.org/Volunteers/Wizard/Search/2?EventId=69016 to sign up for a specific Volunteer Role.

3. If 18 years or older, once you apply, please complete your background screening through Sterling Volunteers.
