Interested in getting a good workout while you volunteer and help the cats? If so, we need healthy and strong volunteers to help us on weekends at the Winter Garden Petsmart.
For our weekend adoption events at the store we must setup and dismantle equipment used for the event; tables, chairs and cages for the cats. It is physically hard work with 4-5 tables and as many as 10 cages that need to be setup and stacked before event opening; then taken down, folded and stored at event closing.
On Friday evenings we setup. We need volunteers to setup the equipment and also check on the cats staying in the adoption center. They need a food/water refresh and their litter boxes cleaned. It's a really good workout and you get to help the cats!
On Saturday afternoons when we close we must take everything down; fold tables, cages and store everything in storage cart. This is another really good workout!
The time involved for setup or shutdown is approximately a 1 hour workout. The time for cat care is 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the number of cats in the center.
Training is provided. Please go to our website, www.candyscats.org so you can find out who we are, what we do and what we are about. You can go to https://forms.gle/YwdMXg1JWQb7HRMc8 to fill out our application.
