Spirit Therapies is a non-profit orgranization that provides therapeutic horseback riding for individuals with special needs including our active military/Veteran heroes. We need volunteers for any of the following: cleaning stalls, grooming horses, side-walking and leading horses during classes, administrative clerk for office duties, help with fundraisers and data input. No experience, No problem! We will teach you.
Volunteers are needed every day, mornings and evenings. We work with your schedule.
Volunteers must be 14 years of age and older to work with clients, however we welcome younger volunteers on a case-by-case basis.

Mission Statement

Spirit Therapies is a therapeutic riding center that positively impacts the lives of the physically and mentally challenged through connecting with trained therapy horses, certified instructors, and compassionate volunteers. We will educate and bring awareness of this valuable therapy to the public, and one day, be able to offer our services free of charge.

Description

Spirit Therapies is a Premier Accredited Therapeutic Horseback Riding Center for individuals with special needs. We are a non-profit organization. The accreditation is through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH) formerly known as NARHA. We are proud to say the we also provide therapeutic horseback riding for our military heroes and veterans. This program is called Horses Healing Heroes. Our instuctors are certified through PATH and EAGALA. Volunteers must be 14 years of age; younger age considered on individual basis. Appointments must be made with Cindy Schott, Volunteer Coordinator, 702-401-3055 to volunteer opportunities.
