Crayons to Classrooms invites teachers to come and shop our free supply store to aid in the education of our Dayton-area students.
Volunteer opportunity:
Our check-in volunteers welcome our teachers when they arrive. They will check-in the teacher with our online check-in system and provide them with their shopping form and explain the shopping process.
This person should have good communication skills, people skills, basic computer skills and be able to handle conflict.
We are looking for someone that can consistently volunteer each week or many weeks throughout the semester.
Training will be available prior to starting.
This opportunity is offered every Monday starting on August 9th 2021.

The goal of Crayons to Classrooms is to enhance the readiness to learn for all children in need in the greater Dayton, OH area by providing them the necessary school supplies that are essential for learning. Our mission is to collect the basic tools for learning and distribute them at no cost to under-funded teachers and schoolchildren in need.
Description
Crayons to Classrooms is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Teacher Resource Center established by a group of committed organizations and individuals in the greater Dayton, OH area that collects and distributes basic tools for learning at no cost to at-risk children in need and their teachers in under-funded K-12 schools. In space donated by Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley, we will operate a "free store" for classroom teachers that is stocked with contributed and purchased school supplies.

- This role does require a commitment, but we are flexible. We hope that the volunteer in this role would commit to a few weeks a month, if not every week for the school semester.
