Greenheart Travel

Located in the middle of the rainforest in San Carlos province of Costa Rica, this eco-reserve is an animal-lover’s paradise. You will have the opportunity to work alongside volunteers from around the world to support wildlife conservation efforts in Costa Rica.

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Help feed, observe and administer general care to animals
  • Assist with various conservation projects
  • Work in the greenhouse
  • Help maintain trails on the reserve
  • Help with construction of new habitats for the animals
  • Assist with community outreach projects in the area

Start dates are on a monthly basis but fill quickly. Please apply 8 weeks in advance to reserve your spot.

What's Included?

  • Accommodation with a Costa Rican host family

  • Minimum 1 week commitment (maximum 3 months)
  • 16 years of age or older
  • Consent to criminal background check for volunteers 18 and older (Greenheart Travel will process this for you)
  • Beginner level of Spanish, intermediate or higher is beneficial
  • Willingness to help with any and all needs of the project
