WiNGS - for women and families. Our Core Purpose is to provide women and their families a path to a better life. It's not just our purpose. It's a promise.
WiNGS is helping to improve women's lives and remove barriers to self-sufficiency through financial literacy, parent education and health services.
Spanish-speaking volunteers are needed to teach 1-hour classes that explain the various Federal Tax Credits available, such as the Earned Income Tax Credit. Participants are encouraged to get their taxes prepared for free at a VITA site and to avoid costly Refund Anticipation Loans.
Classes are 1 hour in length, held at community centers, libraries and schools all over Dallas County. Times and locations vary. Daytime and evening classes available.
2 hours of training is required. WiNGS provides all curriculum and handouts.
