VITAS Bereavement Volunteers can assist our bereavement manager in many ways.
You can assist with bereavement administrative duties, bereavement events (support groups/appreciation events), deliver memory bears across the region, make bereavement visits to families in need of extra support or become a TAP (Telephone Assurance Program) Volunteer by making bereavement phone calls to family and loved ones after the death of a VITAS patient.
Administrative duties can be done in home (if work is available) or at our office in Cranberry Twp., PA.
VITAS Telephone Volunteers work out of their homes and in accordance with the volunteer's schedule.
