Seeking reliable drivers to transport elderly and in-need patients to doctor appointments. Driver clearances through the PA DOT will be necessary for this position and are arranged through this office. Please have a clean driving record to apply.

Appointments are located in Stroudsburg area, Wilkes-Barre, NYC, Philadelphia, Bethlehem and Allentown.

Driver will use county car unless other arrangements have been pre-arranged. Mileage re-imbursement program available.

***THESE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES ARE FOR MONROE COUNTY, PA RESIDENTS ONLY OVER AGE 55 ***

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) OF MONROE COUNTY, PA provides opportunities for Senior residents 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, day care centers, police departments, hospitals and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
