Caring for Families with Ill Children
Ronald McDonald House Charities of New Mexico offers great opportunities to volunteer. As we help in the healing process by keeping families together while their child receives medical treatment at a nearby hospital our volunteers help by making a vital difference in the lives of the many people we serve by volunteering at the House, the Ronald McDonald Family Room and at special events.
You may be surprised to find out that you'll get more than you could ever expect from the experience. Whether it is about contributing to a cause you care about, connecting with your community, making new friends or feeling better about yourself, there is no doubt that volunteering will affect you in a big way.
At the Ronald McDonald House, volunteers play a crucial part of the day-to-day activities of the House, whether you are helping answering phones or setting up a room for an incoming family or helping keep the House clean and in order - each gives comfort to those who need it most and gives people hope knowing that people care.
We encourage family volunteering and allow children age 10 and older to volunteer with a parent. Teenagers 16 and older may volunteer without a parent. ALL individual volunteers must fill out an application and attend a volunteer orientation prior to volunteer shift.
