Being a friend to an international student
Students are waiting!

We are seeking volunteers in Central Ohio to serve international students who need to practice spoken English and need a friend. You and the student or spouse of a student meet once a week for an hour for a coffee, meal or activity or every two weeks for 2 hours. The meeting time is flexible and arranged based on your schedule and the schedule of the international student. There is a cross-cultural training and list of conversation starters provided at no cost. Minimum 16 week commitment. For more info visit: ifipartners.org/ecp .

Over 7,000 internationals are studying in Columbus. International Friendships, Inc. is a faith-based organization that offers the students a variety of services and events to welcome and befriend them. Our volunteers embrace our vision, mission, and values.

We provide many services to all college students on a visa regardless of their religious or cultural background. We seek to meet the practical (airport pickup, temporary housing, and help with English Conversation), social (potlucks, picnics, holiday meals, trips, special events), and the spiritual (Bible studies, retreats, and one on one mentoring) needs of students.
