Retired Senior and Volunteer Program has openings for the Advisory Council.
Our council needs a few more board members who are for example, active in their community, business professionals, have knowledge of the senior community, to help us in the community by sharing who we are, what we do, attend events, and assist in our fundraising efforts.
You as a volunteer would be on an oversight Council that is set up to assist/guide the RSVP program as it provides a variety of opportunities for retired person, aged 55 or older, to participate in the life of their community through significant volunteer service.
Council meetings are held once bi-monthly for approximately 1 hour. Special meetings may be called by the council Chairperson. Term of office is a minimum of two years and not to exceed three consecutive terms.

Make a Difference in Your Community!
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, day care centers, police departments, hospitals and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
