Cash was looking for a quiet home to call his own. His new adopter may have great news about how well he's doing. You may be the lucky volunteer who gets to hear that news!.

Happy Tails is a non-profit, no-kill animal sanctuary dedicated to helping find safe sanctuary for abandoned and abused animals and helping our community in the process. At our Patricia L. Holmes Adoption Center, we showcase adult cats waiting to be adopted into a "forever home." We also showcase cats and kittens at the PetSmart store located at the corner of Arden Way and Watt Avenue.

To help ensure the safety of the animals we've placed in new homes, it is important that we follow up with customers who adopted a new cat or dog from Happy Tails. You can help out by placing a call to the customer to make sure the cat or dog has not escaped the home and to check on the well-being and transition period for both the person and the animal, and report the news back to Happy Tails. Our Follow-Up crew has a direct impact on making sure these special animals as well as their new family have a well-deserved happy ending.

You can do this from your own home. All you need is a phone and email access. A confidential list of customers who adopted an animal is provided to you via email, you make the call, then report back via email to the Adoption Follow-Up Cooordinator.

After attending New Volunteer Orientation, you will provided great training and resources and will be mentored while you learn the ropes of your role.

If you are interested, please respond to this posting. We will contact you with the date and time of our next New Volunteering Orientation meetng so that you can learn more about our organization and how to get started helping animals
