If you live or work in downtown Buffalo, Ken-Ton or Amherst area please consider visiting one-on-one with selected residents here at the Schofield Residence in Kenmore, NY or our Adult Day Program downtown. This can include sitting outside, reading, correspondence, games & card playing, and/or pleasant conversation. Friendly, patient individuals are invited to pass the hours quickly. Full training & guidance are provided. This IS NOT a short-term assignment.

Description
Schofield provides award-winning rehabilitation, skilled nursing services, adult day health care services and home health care services.
Schofield's volunteers are as varied as the individuals we serve. Homemakers, retirees, students and professionals devote their time and talents to all of our programs. Individuals who are 14 or older are encouraged to apply.
Volunteers can offer their time weekdays or weekends, during the day or in the evening, at a time which accommodates both their schedules and the needs of Schofield Care. We ask our individual volunteers to commit a couple hours or more a month.
We realize that life is hectic and many people can only volunteer on a minimal basis. Schofield is open to partnerships willing to provide this valuable community service. Often groups sponsor BINGO parties for our residents, help with craft projects, gardening, assist with concerts and other inter-generational opportunities.
