The National Park Service invites you to help restore and protect the natural communities of Point Reyes National Seashore. Visit some of the most beautiful areas in the park and learn about local plant ecology while you work alongside park staff to carry out ecological restoration projects. Work parties are on the second and last Sunday of each month from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Meet at the Bear Valley Visitors Center at 9:00am for project briefing and carpool to restoration site. We encourage volunteers of all backgrounds, ages and experience levels. Tools, gloves and training are provided. Participants are advised to wear long pants, sturdy shoes and other seasonally appropriate clothing, as well as bring lunch and water.
Contact the Point Reyes National Seashore Habitat Restoration Coordinator, Theo Michaels, at 415-464-5223 or Theo_Michaels@partner.nps.gov for more information. Groups and individuals can also arrange other workdays to fit their schedules. Get involved, meet new people, and make a positive impact on your environment!
