Since its establishment in 1936, YMCA Camp Campbell has served tens of thousands of kids, from all over the greater San Jose area, and provided them with the opportunity to learn about positive values essential for future success.
Annually, the camp serves over 12,000 participants of all ages, in Residential Environmental Education, Summer Resident Camp, School-aged Child Care, Summer Day Camp, Family Camps, Challenge/Adventure Programs, and/or through Group Rentals. All YMCA programs promote the four core values of the YMCA, Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility, and we strive to help kids build the developmental assets proven to help kids lead healthy lifestyle and empowers them to avoid unhealthy behaviors. Each year hundreds and hundreds of our local kids can not go to camp because their families can not afford it. We ned your help to get more kids to camp!
You will plans fund raising programs for camper scholarships and write to, telephone, or visit individuals or establishments to solicit funds or gifts-in-kind: Compile and analyzes information about potential contributors to develop mailing or contact list and to plan selling approach. Write, telephone, or visit potential contributors and encourage them to send kids to camp or provide gifts-in-kind by explaining purpose and benefits of camp. You may even organize volunteers and plan social functions to raise funds. We would love you inpt on preparing fund raising brochures for mail-solicitation pieces.
