EIU student volunteers
Volunteers work together to improve the Douglas-Hart Nature Center prairie habitat by replacing "bad" invasive plants with "good" native species!

The Douglas-Hart Nature Center is dedicated to the conservation, education, and enjoymentof nature. It features over 70 acres of forest, prairie, pond and wetland habitats as well as a Visitor Center. Thousands of visitors each year enjoy the trails, festivals, family programs, summer camps, field trips, and many other activities Douglas-Hart offers.

The Douglas-Hart Nature Center relies heavily on its volunteers. They bring an immense amount of time and energy to accomplish projects in every aspect of our operations. You can become part of the volunteer family. All it takes is a lively interest in the outdoors, a concern for the environment, and a respect for living things.

You can learn more about volunteering at our website: http://www.dhnature.org/volunteer.html
