We Are Family coordinates a major holiday gift delivery to 600 of the seniors with whom we work. We need your help to make this happen! We will gather on December 25 and divide up to deliver the gifts provided by We Are Family and to visit with the seniors.
These seniors are facing very low-income and are often isolated and with limited mobiity. Without our deliveries they might spend the holiday completely alone and forgotten. You can help make an immense difference in their lives by adding some holiday cheer and warmth to their hearts!

We Are Family reaches out with services, advocacy, and companionship to isolated, low-income seniors in the Shaw, Columbia Heights, Petworth and Adams Morgan areas of Washington, DC, using a volunteer-driven model, grounded in grassroots senior leadership.
Description
We Are Family serves seniors in the Shaw, Columbia Heights, Petworth, and Adams Morgan neighborhoods of Washington, DC. We bring advocacy, services, organizing, and companionship into the homes of the elderly, while helping to build friendships across boundaries like race, class, religion, age, culture, and sexual orientation.
Most of our work is done by volunteers. While many of those who help do the work of We Are Family are seniors themselves -- who, after all, have built this community -- *we need you as well.* We use volunteer assistance for our outreach and our grocery deliveries to over 1,000 seniors each month.
