We currently need volunteers to do companionship visits with our patients who reside valley wide . Some of the services a volunteer can do include reading, sharing hobbies, listening, watching TV, and running errands. Our volunteers provide the gift of presence and this service is vital for the well-being of many of our patients. We would also like to work with volunteers who enjoy singing, playing music, are trained with pet therapy, or are licensed beauticians and/or massage therapists.
Extend your talents, skills and interests to hospice patients who have a life-limiting illness and have been diagnosed with 6 months or less to live. Volunteers go to private homes, group homes, skilled nursing facilities and any place a person may call "home". Volunteers are part of a professional care team that works directly with patients and families to provide companionship and emotional support. While each volunteer’s role may vary, all volunteers are integral to the hospice program and make a powerful impact on the lives around them. Assignments are usually close to your home. Times are flexible - based on your schedule. Core hospice volunteer training is provided. Come visit us, we would love to have you join our growing team!
