The WCSD are looking for bright, patient individuals who would like to help tomorrow today! We are looking for tutors to help students in Middle and High School in subjects such as Math, Science, and Reading amongst a few. The process is quick and easy. There is also training in reading programs and other areas as needed to help students performing below grade level in a particular subject. Tutoring may be one on one or in a small group. Volunteers are placed in a school of their choice. Please help tomorrow’s future grow and learn today!

Volunteer Services Mission: Providing safe productive community volunteers and other resources for the academic support of all WCSD schools in a copperative, efficient and friendly manner.


Washoe County School District is an educational organization for Kindergarten thru 12th grade.

Volunteer Services is responsible for the assessment, development of volunteer programs, marketing/recruiting, screening, orientation/training, placement/coordination, recognition and retention of community volunteers tutors providing academic support for WCSD schools.
