We rely on volunteers to support all aspects of our program, including helping with the horses, fundraising and organizational tasks at the barn and in the office. No prior experience is necessary; training is provided.
Horse leading and sidewalking with the students is the basic volunteer need on a daily basis. Lesson volunteers will be leading horses and sidewalking next to students for additional support while riding. Prior horse knowledge is not required but certainly appreciated. The sidewalkers assist and support the rider by walking next to them as a spotter or even providing a thigh hold. The commitment requirement is only 1 hour. Committing to a weekly class period is great but not required.
