ORGANIZATION: Special Equestrian Riding Therapy

We need you! For general horse care, (that includes grooming and tacking up horses, cleaning stalls and water buckets), assisting riders (we call it "side-walking" - some of our kids need help with their balance while they ride), leading horses during lessons, and sometimes helping on special projects to improve the ranch.

Mission Statement

Special Equestrian Riding Therapy (SERT) is a community oriented 501(c)(3) charitable corporation that provides physically, mentally and emotionally challenged individuals an opportunity for growth through horsemanship. SERT participants gain essential skills that greatly benefit them in their daily lives.

Description

SERT offers English and Western riding, trail riding, ground lessons (the proper way to groom and care for horses) and educational enrichment. Individual lessons are designed to meet participants' specific needs and are structured to proceed at their own pace and skill level.
